Abstract
Following the success of the One Ocean Expedition 2021–2023, Statsraad Lehmkuhl is once again setting sail on a 12-month circumnavigation to promote ocean sustainability. The voyage will include 27 ports of call across three continents, combining ocean science, education and international cooperation to raise awareness about the crucial role of the ocean for a sustainable future. The One Ocean Expedition is a global initiative with one clear purpose: to create attention and share knowledge about the ocean’s crucial role for a sustainable future in a global perspective. Over the course of a year, Statsraad Lehmkuhl will visit key ports from the North Atlantic and the Arctic to the Caribbean and the Pacific, engaging with communities and highlighting ocean science and sustainability. The voyage begins in Bergen, Norway during One Ocean Week 2025 and comes full circle a year later, returning home to Bergen for One Ocean Week 2026.
