Abstract
This data set named UNIS_AGF211_CTD_2023, is a collection of temperature and salinity (CTD) profiles from the area (14.6-15.4°E and 78.2-78.7°N) collected on a UNIS AGF211 student cruise with the vessel Polarsyssel in April 2023. Data contributor is The University Centre in Svalbard (UNIS). Data are processed with standard software from the instrument manufacturers (SBE19plus, SeaBird Electronics). Due to problems with our Guildline Portasal salinometer, the water bottle analysis could not be used for post-cruise calibration. Instead the salinity data are calibrated against a more recently calibrated RBR Maestro CTD by linear regression based on the profiles were both CTDs were sampling simultaneously and next to each other. The mean difference between the RBR Maestro and corrected SBE19plus CTD salinity is 0.0002. Outliers are removed. Downcast profiles are used.
