Abstract
Stable isotope ratios of carbon (d13C) and nitrogen (d15N) in parts per thousand and elemental carbon and nitrogen content (wt %) of particulate organic matter collected from icecores. The bottom 0-10 cm from the seawater interface was collected, melted, and filtered on pre-combusted glass fiber filters. Filters were freeze dried prior to analysis. All samples were analzed for isotopic and elemental composition of carbon and nitrogen using an Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer either at the CLIPT lab at the University of Oslo of the University of Alaska Stable Isotope Facility.
